15 states later I’m back in Wisconsin. The Midwest is where it’s at, seriously. No need to go anywhere else. People work hard, play hard. The fruit pies and cheese curds are on point. I was born in Minnesota so YES I’m a Vikings fan. A long-suffering, trophyless Vikings fan. I’m a bigger hockey fan anyway. In the early 2000s, I spent a season as the In-Arena Game Host for the Milwaukee Admirals and became a hardcore Nashville Predators fan after that.

Childfree by choice. We’ll also go with single by choice. I did the husband, house in the suburbs thing once. It wasn’t for me. I like to do my own thing. I enjoy video games but I don’t pretend to keep up with Gen Z. If I’m playing Fortnite, it’s “Zero Build” solos. I like hiking and nature photography. I like going on road trips. If there’s a roadside attraction, I’m stopping. I have the sense of humor of a 15-year-old and eat like one too. If a place has chicken fingers, I’m happy. Also, dinosaurs are cool.
