FOND DU LAC, Wis. — The state Department of Justice releases more information on a fatal officer-involved shooting in Fond du Lac.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Andrew Kohlmann opened fire on Jesus Mendez Berry after Berry appeared to be brandishing a handgun during an incident along Cherrywood Drive back on Feb. 24.
The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
Body camera footage is being reviewed, and the investigation continues.
