APPLETON, Wis. — The Appleton Public Library celebrates the completion of a major renovation and expansion project.
The facility on N. Appleton Street opened to the public Saturday after being closed for nearly three years.

The organization Friends of Appleton Public Library raised $12 million through a capital campaign to cover a portion of the project cost.
Board president Nanci Micke says several people were involved in the fundraising process………
Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford says the library is a point of pride for the city………
The Appleton library was housed in two temporary locations during the renovation and expansion work.
