The Bass Pro Pyramid in Memphis, TN is billed as “The Largest Pyramid in the United States” – assumedly that claim includes the Luxor in Las Vegas. But it’s what’s inside that’s truly a wonder of the natural world – or at least the U.S.A. It is by some measurements, the tenth-tallest pyramid in the world.
You obviously have a stand-out, 2-story Bass Pro Shop retail megastore. Then, suspended on actual/real 100 foot cypress trees are private cabin rooms that overlook the giant retail space. There’s the Fishbowl Bar – complete with an underwater-themed bowling alley. There’s also an archery range, shooting range, laser arcade and a Wahlburgher’s Wild restaurant and, if that’s not enough, Ducks Unlimited operates a museum on waterfowl hunting and wetlands conservation inside of the megastore showcasing 600,000 gallons of water features and the largest collection of waterfowl and hunting-related equipment in the world.
Then the country’s tallest, free-standing elevator will take you to the top of the shop to the Lookout Restaurant complete with an observation deck that serves up spectacular views of the Mississippi River an the greater Memphis area.
Bass Pro shop in Memphis, TN: the largest pyramid in America.
