Dave Grohl is a good dude.
Grohl put his considerable BBQ skills to the task on Super Bowl Sunday and cooked for the homeless..
Grohl and a team of his fellow BBQ chefs teamed up with Hope of the Valley – a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty, homelessness and hunger to individuals and families – to grill up some tasty charity.
Grohl and his Foo Feeders spent 24 hours barbecuing 70 pork butts for The Woodlands Family Shelter in Woodland Hills, California over Super Bowl weekend.
Hope of the Valley posted on their Instagram:
Happy Super Bowl Sunday from @davestruestories and Hope the Mission! Dave and his pals BBQ’d 70 pork butts for 24+ hours 😳 Right now we are here at The Woodlands Family Shelter sharing this delicious meal with our participants. Thank you to Dave and his friends from his studio for hanging out with us and spreading love through a hot meal. #foofighters turned into #foodfighters 😇
And this is not an isolated barbecuing incident, Grohl has done this on multiple occasions – even taking time during the Foo Fighter’s grueling (Grohling) tour schedule to feed the homeless down under (and over it) in Australia.
