MILWAUKEE (WRN) — Former U.S. Senator and Milwaukee Bucks Owner Herb Kohl has died.
The Herb Kohl Foundation on Wednesday announced the death of the Milwaukee native.
Kohl represented Wisconsin as a Democrat in the U.S. Senate for 24 years, running on the commitment “Nobody’s Senator but yours.”
According to the Foundation, Kohl graduated from the University of Wisconsin, earned an MBA from Harvard and joined the U.S. Army Reserve. He became President of Kohl’s Corporation in 1970.
Kohl bought the Bucks in 1985 and promised fans the NBA team would never leave Milwaukee.
Kohl was 88 years old.
