First, let’s address the Kiss situation. If you remember Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from Kiss had left the possibilities open for original guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss to return to the stage for the final Kiss performances in New York City, well Ace has put that rumor to rest.
He told Ozzy’s Boneyard, “They said that they invited us to perform at that show. I never got a phone call. Peter never got a phone call. They just said that to sell tickets. And recently, Paul Stanley has made negative statements about me and Peter… I think the last negative statement he said, when people asked him, ‘Is Peter and Ace gonna perform at the Garden?’ he said, oh, we would mar the show if we got up and play — which is really insulting.”
Now that, that’s out of the way, Ace has just put out a new song, and you know what? It’s pretty good! The song is called “10,000 Volts” and will be featured on his new solo album of the same name.
He says, “I think [this album] is gonna really turn heads. I know Gene’s gonna really like it and tell the press he does like it. I have no idea what Paul Stanley’s gonna say. He usually holds back on any deep praise for me because he’s jealous of me.”
Ok Ace, let it go and celebrate your new album 10,000 Volts due out on February 23rd.
