Last week, a Milwaukee bar, Jack’s American Pub, got a lot of attention for announcing they would pick up the tab of every patron who was drinking in their joint during Jets game started by Aaron Rodgers if the Jets lost.
Well, you can imagine how orders picked way up when Aaron went down Monday night. Surly, there was no way the Jets could win without their newly anointed savior.
And yet they did…on a walk-off overtime punt return, Jet’s won 22-16.
A reporter for CBS 58 just happened to be live as the realization started to sink in to the hard drinking crew that they were going to have to pay the piper.
For the record, about 350 people rang up tabs during the game, with the largest being $160 for some guy just drinking beer.
