CALUMET COUNTY, Wis. — First responders execute what they call a challenging rescue in Calumet County.
Crews were called to Jefferson Road on Thursday morning for a male who fell in the woods.
First responders and medics hiked 1/2 mile into a swamp to find the male, who was conscious with orthopedic injuries.
Utility vehicles were used but became stuck in the swamp.
The patient was carried out of the swamp in a stokes basket and taken to the hospital for treatment.
