One of the most difficult ‘life conversations’ is the one where you have to tell an elderly relative / family member that it’s best if they give up their drivers license. Sometimes there’s not a specific incident that heralds that conversation… or, like my grandmother, they run into the post office – literally – sparking the family intervention.
I’m sure the 77-year-old driver in the video below will be a part of that dialog in the near future – if not already.
As you can see in the video, he paid at the entrance of the car wash (located in Montgomery County, PA) and then it was all gas and no brakes at least until he flipped his car inside the wash and caused 1000’s of dollars of damage to the facility.
Emergency response crews worked for over three hours to free the elderly driver from the wreck by by having to cut the top off the car.
Perhaps he was confused about the undercarriage wash???
Thankfully the driver had minor injuries and no one else was hurt.
The wash will now be closed to fix the damage caused by the accident.
