The city is committing one-point-five million dollars in American Rescue Plan Act funds–plus capital improvement funds and private donations–to a renovation plan for Jefferson Park. Parks Director Megan Sackett says that money will fund the first three phases of that plan…………..
The second phase of the Jefferson Park plan includes rebuilding Kargus Avenue leading to the boat launch. Phase three would include reconstruction of the boat launch itself and the parking lot. Work on phase one is expected to start next spring.
