What’s old is new again at Burger King. The fast-food chain unveiled a new look Thursday which harkens back to the restaurant from the 70’s through the 90’s.
The new logo is a return to the logo style which the company started using in 1969. That logo – which resembled a hamburger with the restaurant name in the center – was used for three decades with slight cosmetic tweaks until 1999 when a significant redesign was implemented. The 1999 logo was employed until the Thursday announcement at which time the Burger King website switched to the new rebrand.
Along with the new logo, the restaurant chain will reimage other aspects of the restaurant including the structure itself. Restaurant redesigns and food packaging will also be changed as well as a new dollar menu available now.
Although some of the changes will be noticed immediately, Burger King says it will take a number of years to switch all their international restaurants to the new branding.
