I want to sit here and give this guy a hard time for having a Lego piece lodged in his ear for almost 20 years but I have an ear related story.
Back in 1999 I spent a year in London on a student visa. The very first morning I went to take a shower, I had the shower head aimed directly at my left ear. Water shot into my ear and immediately my hearing became muffled. After a couple days my hearing went back to what I thought was normal.
Fast forward maybe 10 years down the road and I’m at the doctor’s office to get a tetanus shot after a stray kitten ripped open my hand with it’s tiny super sharp claws. The doctor looked in my ears and happened to mention I had a build-up of wax in my left ear and that they could flush it out for me. Next thing I know, the doctor removed the biggest chunk of wax I’ve ever seen. I realized I could hear so much better after this happened. Like, I could hear people’s thoughts my ear was so clear after that. That wax was most likely from when I shot my ear at point blank with the shower spray all those years ago.
I’m honestly happy for this guy. He can probably hear colors after having a LEGO piece pop out of his ear after all those years.
