A circus tiger went off script and mauled a fellow circus performer in Egypt nearly ripping off the man’s arm.
H.R. is gonna hear about this.
This happened at a performance in the city of Tana (outside of Cario) when one of several tigers in a large enclosure clamped down on a performer’s arm through the cage’s metal bars. You can see in the video below, several circus staff run to help the man but all their efforts do little to deter the massive cat.
In what seems like forever (especially to the victim) the tiger finally releases the man and he was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors unfortunately had to amputate his arm.
The unpredictability of a wild animal – even in the most choreographed situation should never be underestimated as Roy Horn of Ziegfried & Roy fame also tragically found out.
