TOWN OF CHARLESTOWN, WI — Calumet County authorities say a child died from injuries related to an early morning fire at a home near New Holstein. Fire crew were called to a report of a fire in the Town of Charlestown around 2:08 AM Wednesday. An unresponsive child was recovered from the scene. First responders began life saving-measures and took the child a local hospital where the child was pronounced dead. The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire are also unknown. The fatal fire remains under investigation.
