FOND DU LAC, WI — A man convicted in the shooting death of a Fond du Lac man is sentenced in that case. Eric Perry will spend 50-years of initial confinement and 20-years of extended supervision for 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide with a Dangerous Weapon, with a repeater enhancer and Armed Robber as a repeater and Felon in Possession of a Firearm with a repeat enhancer. Those charges are in in the October 2021 death of Benzel Rose whom Perry shot in the head during a drug deal. Co-defendant Julius Freeman was convicted of First Degree Intentional Homicide and Armed Robbery – Use of Force in 2023. Freeman is serving a life sentence with eligibility for release after 35 years.
