TOWN OF CHARLESTOWN, Wis. — Two people are dead and another is seriously hurt following a crash in Calumet County.
The sheriff’s office says an SUV crossed the centerline along State Highway 32/57 in the town of Charlestown and struck a pickup truck head-on around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.
The 73-year-old man driving the truck and the 70-year-old woman riding with him — both from the New Holstein area — were taken to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead. The 57-year-old Chilton-area woman operating the SUV was taken to the same hospital where she is reportedly in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
