LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. — Test results are expected within the next several weeks on the carcasses of mallard ducks found dead in a Little Chute pond.
Village officials were made aware of the dead birds Wednesday morning at a retention pond at County Highway OO and Buchanan Street.
Crews removed 90 dead ducks initially before five more were discovered later.
Department of Natural Resources officials suspect some of the ducks may have died from avian flu, though that has not been confirmed.
The carcasses of the dead ducks were disposed of at the Outagamie County landfill.
