APPLETON, Wis. — The owner of a proposed gaming bar in downtown Appleton suffers another setback in getting a liquor license.
The city’s Safety and Licensing Committee denies the application from David Boulanger for Delaire’s Bar on College Avenue.
Boulanger’s application ran into trouble when the owner of a neighboring business released security footage of a contractor admitting the bar would feature gambling machines as its main source of revenue.
Alder Denise Fenton says Boulanger has not been honest with the city………..
Boulanger claims he will only feature board games for entertainment in Delaire’s.
Alder Chad Doran points out that he could still have gambling machines too, just without a liquor license………..
The full Appleton Common Council will consider the denial of the liquor license next week.
