Five years have passed since the world lost Neil Peart, the legendary drummer for the iconic Canadian rock band Rush.
Born in 1952 in Hamilton, Ontario. Peart’s journey to rock was anything but normal. Neil joined Rush and ultimately redefined the band’s sound. He has even written some songs for the band as a lyricist. You can hear his work on albums like 2112, Moving Pictures, and Permanent Waves.

Neil Peart passed away on January 7th, 2020, after a battle with Glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer.
As we reflect on his life five years later, Neil’s legacy shines brighter than ever, He wasn’t just a drummer or lyricist. He was an artist who pushed the boundaries of creativity, inspired others to dream bigger, played even harder, and think deeper.
