Ever wonder what Buddy The Elf’s Breakfast Spaghetti would taste like… aside of Pure Sugar and Christmas Cheer?
If you’re working with the four basic food groups of elves; candy canes, candy, candy corns and syrup it would be like very festive episode of ‘Chopped’.
Mashed.com challenged recipe developer Patterson Watkins to come up with the ingredients and directions for the unique combination, of pasta, maple syrup, chocolate syrup Pop Tarts, marshmallows, M & M’s and don’t forget the sprinkles. Honestly the way Mashed and Watkins presented it, it doesn’t look that bad… at least for a once-a-year sugar binge.
Here’s what Watkins came up with:
- Cook and drain your spaghetti.
- Toss with maple syrup, then plate it.
- Top with chocolate syrup.
- Add, but don’t stir in, Pop-Tart pieces.
- Sprinkle on miniature marshmallows, then M&Ms.
- Finish with sprinkles.
- For extra flair, top with a squeeze of Redi-Whip and a candy cane garnish.
And then settle in for a long Christmas Candy Coma.
