You know the old song “99 Bottles of beer on the wall”? Dave Armstrong of Grafton, WI takes that song to a whole new level, except don’t You dare touch the bottles of beer on his wall. For the past 14 years, Dave has been collecting different bottles of beer and displaying them in his garage. That in of itself isn’t that unheard of, it’s the fact that 1500 bottles of beer now adorn his garage wall, and it’s still growing. The collection started after someone gave him 50 beers for his 50th birthday and ole Dave only has one rule: “If I don’t drink the beer, it doesn’t get to go on the wall.”
Not only did he collect 1500 bottles, but he drank them too. You might be wondering how Dave was found, well you see every black Friday he goes to Lakefront Brewery (a fantastic Milwaukee brewery) and waits through the midnight hours for the very limited Black Friday batch, which caught the eye of a local Milwaukee news reporter at WISN.
So the next time someone gives you crap about collecting those beer or booze bottles, you just tell them about the legend that is Dave Armstrong in Grafton, WI and you won’t be bothered again.
