CCTV Security Cameras captured the moment a soccer field in Illinois was swallowed by a sinkhole.
The 100 foot wide and 30 foot deep sinkhole suddenly appeared at Gordon Moore Park in Alton, Illinois. As you can see in the clip below, the sinkhole’s appetite was voracious as footage shows bleachers and a light pole getting completely swallowed.
Local reports point to the sinkhole being caused by an underground limestone mine owned by New Frontier Materials.
Thankfully, a match wasn’t going on at the time and no one was injured.
