Ope! This darn gun jammed… sorry for the inconvenience.
A woman from Milwaukee named Amy Betro (44) flew over from Milwaukee to the U.K. to kill a boutique clothing store owner (Sikander Ali) on a kill-for-hire contract.
It didn’t go great.
At a trial in the U.K., it was learned how the seemingly unassuming Midwest assassin, Betro, who worked as an administrator for the Milwaukee Brewers, disguised herself in a hijab before trying to gun Ali down outside a house in Birmingham, U.K. in September of 2019 on the orders of a rival store owner Mohammed Aslam (56) and his son Mohammed Nazir (30).
During the trial it was related that Betro fled the scene when her gun jammed (Hitman 101: always double check your equipment), but later returned in a taxi and fired three shots at the property before texting the principal target, Ali, ‘Stop playing hide and seek‘ and ‘Where are you hiding?’. Not exactly what you’d call proper operating procedure for a would-be-contract killer.
Betro flew back to the US two days after the failed contract killing and is still on the run from authorities.
Maybe check the area around American Family Field?
