UW-Green Bay Athletics Department stuck with April Fool’s joke

GREEN BAY, Wis–An April Fool’s prank played by the UW-Green Bay Athletics Department is lasting much longer than expected.  On Monday, the Department posted on the social media platform X that it was changing its mascot from the Phoenix to the Pigeons.

As of Wednesday, the Green Bay Pigeons handle and avatar was still on the account.  Green Bay Athletics then posted directly to Elon Musk and X Support saying they had been banned from changing it back to the Phoenix.
