Stand-up comic and actor Richard Lewis has passed at age 76. Variety is reporting that his death was caused by a heart attack. Richard was diagnosed last year with Parkinson’s disease.
After toileting in New York and L.A comedy clubs for years, Richard came to national attention as a frequent guest on Late Night with David Letterman in the 1980s, appearing on the show 44 times, and co-starred with Jamie Lee Curtis on an ABC sitcom called Anything But Love.
For the last decade or so Richard has appeared on the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm playing a fictionalized version of himself.
