If you’ve never heard of the metal band Llorona don’t worry because its really not important to this story.
What IS important is that this may be the MOST BIZARRE reason (of the hundreds documented) that ANY BAND in the entire HISTORY of bands has fired their lead singer over.
And, YES, it has to do with a woman… well technically (almost) two.
Take the historical dysfunctions of a handful of bands – Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, Oasis, The Black Crowes, The Kinks – Add EVERYTHING ALL TOGETHER and NOTHING really comes even close to this.
The Tennessee hardcore band Llorona – which ironically means “the weeping woman” – announced they were parting ways with their singer, Diego, because he did something REALLY REALLY REALLY F’d-up to his bandmate Sixx.
You see Diego was in love with Sixx’s fiancée Caroline, so Diego hatched a scheme where he was secretly dosing Sixx’s pre workout drinks with ESTROGEN (the female hormone) that he procured at his day job in the supplement/fitness industry and through his gym connections.
His ridiculous plan was to dose Sixx with enough estrogen to shock him (Sixx) into actually transitioning into a female – thus giving hime an opportunity to prove his dominance as a man and then being able to ‘swoop in’ (once he looked stronger and more manly in comparison to Sixx) and steal Caroline away.
Sounds quite logical.
The band released a statement on their X account below.

In a post on their X account, the band said Diego confessed to the bizarre act during a drinking binge — then admitted it again via text message.
“He has admitted to being obsessed with said partner, and has been attempting to sabotage their relationship by cutting pre-workout that he frequently gifts from his job with high amounts of estrogen,” the post said.
Sixx ended up paying thousands of dollars in medical bills trying to figure out what was wrong with him.
Now that he does know, he still has to see an endocrinologist for several months to see if his hormone levels can go back to normal.
The LOUDWIRE article has more detail of the sorted scheme.
