“Hi. My name is Henry. And I’ve got the world’s longest zucchini.”
It may sound like a cheap, bar pick-up line… but it’s true.
Henry D’Angela of Ontario has grown what looks to be the longest zucchini in the world.
The zucchini measures 8 ft and 4.79 inches, or 2.56 metres.
The current world record holder is John Giovanni Scozzafavain from Niagara Falls, who in 2014 had a zucchini reach 8 ft and 3.3 inches.
Typical men… always measuring their zucchinis.
D’Angela has sent in proof to the Guinness World Records but is still waiting for them to verify his enormous squash.
What’s the secret to growing a zucchini of world record scale?
D’Angela told local media that it comes down to manure, lots of water and planting in an area he never gardened before.
CHCH News’ @AdamCHCH 's coverage of what may be the world’s longest zucchini landed him a feature on Stephen Colbert’s opening monologue of his show Thursday night.
