Since Hollywood is on strike, where does a person go for some heart-stopping action?
Sure the new Mission: Impossible film is a fine place but let’s talk REAL life.
A Florida deputy (Travis Fernandes) may have a future as a stuntman if this whole law enforcement thing doesn’t work out. The crazy bodycam video shows Fernandes jumping onto a fast-moving boat, whose owner fell into the water, leaving the vessel unmanned and rocketing across Tampa Bay with the keys still in the ignition and the gas turned on! He’s subsequently subdued the boat – no taser needed – and brought the scary situation to a peaceful end.
Fernandes’ partner and driver of the police boat – Deputy Jillian Constant – is not without her own headline-grabbing feat of service.
She made headlines last month for rescuing an “exhausted” manatee” by holding its head above water for two hours. Not as dramatic as the boat rescue but you try treading water with a manatee for two hours.
Sounds like a dynamic duo for sure.
