Well, this is new.
It’s common place to see a mosh pit bust out during a rock/metal show, in fact it would be weird if it didn’t – but when it happens during a performance by an esteemed symphony orchestra… that’s next level.
Nothing wrong with giving into the excitement brought upon by the performance of “William Tell Overture” especially by a renowned orchestra like the Oxford Symphony Orchestra… but a mosh pit? Damn right!
Video below shows the packed crowd at the Truck Festival in Oxfordshire, England letting the music move them so-much-so they seemingly spontaneously start a mosh pit during the culminating set piece performance of the “William Tell Overture.”
What’s next? The ‘Wall of Death‘ during Beethoven’s 5th? Stage-diving during Toccata and Fugue (in D minor obviously)?
Either way, something tells me that even Rossini would say “Giddy Up!” to this.
