Mile of Music 10 officially gets underway in downtown Appleton Thursday with about 200 artists performing in 40 different venues.
We’ll start getting ramped up for it Monday morning and continue to have live performances on the Rick and Cutter Show throughout the week from cool bands performing in the WAPL Mile Of Music garage.
Monday 9:15am HANG TEN
Comprised of some of the areas finest musicians, including Mile Of Music co-founder Cory Chisel‘s sidemen, these guys came together during COVID for something to do and turned out some damn cool music.
No matter if it’s playing together as a band or just farting around with Cory they always turn out something cool and fun.

Tuesday 9:15am TRASH PANDAS
This Fox Valley/Green Bay based band mixes up a little alternative, a little grunge and a little punk for a sound all their own.
They’ve been slaying it around the area for the past four years and are now branching out playing gigs in other midwestern states. World domination cannot be far behind. Not to be confused with the Atlanta indie band Trash Panda (no S), also playing at Mile Of Music 10.

Wednesday 9:15am SIRSY
Sirsy is an indie pop-rock-folk duo with lots of heart, soul, & sass. Hailing from Upstate NY, Sirsy is known for their passionate, honest, heartfelt live performances. Playing more than 200 shows per year all over the US and Canada, Sirsy is fronted by singer-songwriter & drummer Melanie Krahmer (who also plays bass on a keyboard with her drumstick). This will be their third consecutive Mile Of Music.

Thursday 8:15 FANTASTIC CAT
During the past year, these four extraordinarily talented songwriters have made their national TV debut playing several songs on CBS This Morning and were the subject a great write up and Rolling Stone.
The Rolling Stone article seems to indicate that they sometimes perform anonymously wearing cat masks. While I’ve seen no actual confirmation of that, fingers crossed!
And you have to appreciate the moxie of a band that titles their first album, The Very Best of Fantastic Cat.

Thursday 9:15am SUPER 400
They hail from Troy, New York and have sold out shows all over Europe. Troy even honored them with Super 400 Day back in February. This hard rocking trio have been blending 60s and 70s style hard rock since 1996.
I get the feeling they might like Led Zeppelin.
They seem like a perfect fit for us!

Friday 7:15 PATTY PERSHAYLA AND THE MAYHAPS
Patty is described as a “former pageant queen turned 5 foot 2 and 3/4 rock n’ roll power house” “hooting and hollering across stage while gracefully wielding a bass almost the size of her wing span”. If that’s not enough to make you want to check them out, I’ve got nothing for you.
Now based in Nashville, they are originally from Michigan and have been playing all over the east coast, mid west and God only knows where else. She still isn’t sorry!

Sweet God almighty, I’m not sure how to describe this two-piece fiery, hard-rocking, hillbilly thunder? Oh, I guess I just did. They are, in fact, two-piece fiery, hard-rocking, hillbilly thunder! However, they call it thrash-and-twang explosive cowpunk. They’ve been working together since they met in a Berlin, Germany brothel in 2013.
I’ve loved them since I saw them make their first Mile of Music appearance at The Bar during Mile 7. My ears are still ringing…but in a good way!
