APPLETON, Wis–Developers are ready to bring a new vision for City Center Plaza in downtown Appleton. Dark Horse Development will take over the building in the 100-block of College Avenue.
The plaza will be renamed “Fox Commons” and will become a mixed-use development including housing, healthcare, retail, office space and restaurants. A $34-million development agreement will go before the city’s Community and Economic Development Committee next Wednesday. As part of the deal, the city will provide $4.4-million in tax incremental financing.
Dark Horse and the city started negotiations on the project last fall.
