Everybody will know your name if you are the lucky winner of an auction featuring the iconic bar from the set of the beloved sitcom ‘Cheers.’
The bar is up for auction right now on the Heritage Auctions site. Currently (as of this post) the high bid was at $100-thousand dollars. IF you are the winning bidder (according to Heritage) you would get; the counter, the railing, six burgundy leatherette bar stools, a back bar unit, and set dressings. The 125-inch-long, 44-inch-tall bar, which is made of Luan wood, can be split up into three sections, so the cameras could shoot the hit series from multiple angles.
According to a Heritage Auctions press release.
“The bar comes from the extensive collection of James Comisar and is the centerpiece a larger auction of nearly 1,000 pieces from some of the biggest productions in entertainment history, including Gunsmoke, I Love Lucy, Star Trek, The Office, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and many more. The collection is “the most complete history of television ever available in a single place.”
The auction ends on June 2nd – Happy Bidding!
