As Bush hits the road with Breaking Benjamin this month they have decided to release a deluxe edition of their latest album The Art of Survival. The album was released to a series of positive reviews last fall with AllMusic remarking that it was “their best post-hiatus offering to date…an essential late-catalog installment that re-energizes their sound with fresh tricks and newfound purpose” while Billboard noted that ‘The Art Of Survival’ “finds Rossdale and company full of bombast, huge guitars, and memorable hooks.”‘The Art Of Survival’ encompasses the resiliency of the human spirit in the face of trials and tribulations as the band’s own enduring place as rock outliers. They have also announced a new single. The song is called “All Things Must Change” and is a bruising hard driving rock song. “All things must change is the only thing we can be sure of. This song is a celebration of the unknown. Like a gentle Buddhist hymn”, says Gavin Rossdale.
If you want to dig deeper into this album and what touring with the likes of Breaking Benjamin means to Gavin Rossdale check out his last appearance on Cutter’s Rockcast. Although warning, Gavin and Cutter spend the first few minutes talking about being single dads.
