So, you’re driving along, and you hear a “thump”. You think, it was probably just some litter that you hit (and hopefully, dear God Almighty, don’t let it be a wandering roadside hobo… again!) That’s sort of what a man driving in Portage County Tuesday thought. He heard his car hit something and assumed it was just some discarded refuse. However, he eventually pulled over and found that he had hit a bobcat. Not only was the bobcat still alive, but it was barely injured yet somehow stuck in the grill of his vehicle. As you can imagine, the bobcat was not happy.
This led to one of those, “Hey, I’ve got a bobcat stuck in my car” calls to 911. Deputies, aided by a conservation warden, responded to the call and eventually freed the angry bobcat from his vehicular prison and released him back into the wild. Check out the video, but truth be told, at about the 23 second mark I damn near pooped my pants! Maybe I’m just not a cat person.
