Apparently the Heimlich Maneuver works on (some) animals too.
A zookeeper in China proved this when he saved a giant panda that was choking on a carrot recently.
At first the zookeeper tried to dislodge the carrot by slapping the giant panda on the back – that did not work. So next, he then picked up the panda and applied the Heimlich to success.
As giant pandas are on the endangered species list it would be a tragedy to lose one to produce.
The Heimlich maneuver saves animals, too! A breeder rescued a giant panda using the Heimlich maneuver when a carrot became lodged in its throat in Chengdu, SW China's Sichuan. pic.twitter.com/gb8oThaFpr
