We are proud to name as this week’s Rick and Cutter Show Weenie of the Week…Mark “Gus” Calewarts of Green Bay who drove a mobility scooter he rented from the resort off the wooden path and crashed into a palm tree and a rock formation. Mark saved himself from landing in some prickly foliage by grabbing on to the stricken tree and hanging on for dear life. Thankfully, neither Mark nor the palm tree or the rock formation were seriously injured in the crash.
So,
For not realizing that a wooden path through a five star Mexican resort, located in the middle of a Yucatán jungle, is no place to be driving like a maniac…that’s what that stretch of I-41 between Ballard and Richmond is for.
For not comprehending that because the scooter is electric, he didn’t need to personally get gassed up before driving it.
And for not understanding that there are easier ways to leave a “Mark” on a tree.
We are proud to name Mark “Gus” Calewarts of Green Bay, who started off as a scooter driver but ended up as a tree hugger as our 2023 WAPL International Incident Weenie of the Week.
