OSHKOSH, Wis–The state Department of Transportation chooses the design it wants for the new Jackson and Oregon Street bridge in Oshkosh. The department wants to build a high-level, fixed bridge on a partial offset to replace the current drawbridge over the Fox River.
The design will allow for business access on both sides of the river–which was a concern raised by city officials. Construction on the new bridge is scheduled for 2027.
