We are proud to name as this week’s Rick and Cutter Show Weenie of the Week… Declan Quinn of Panama City, Florida who is accused of fraudulently taking out thousands of dollars in loans and participating in business deals. Quinn, an Irish immigrant, and former member of the Irish Army used his background to win the position of Home Owners Association Board of Directors president in his neighborhood. Quinn then used his standing in the neighborhood to get a $17,000 loan, as well as to sign a notarized promissory note saying he would repay the loan, which he failed to do.
Oh, it turns out, Quinn had not immigrated to Florida from Ireland but rather immigrated to Florida from…Oshkosh. In fact, His name is not Declan Quinn but rather Daryl Gary Boehlke, and is a convicted felon from Wisconsin who had spent most his life in Oshkosh and Racine.
It is unclear if Boehlke faked and Irish accent to pass himself as an Irishman but according to police, he did have a face Irish passport that he used while pawning items for more than $1,000.
So,
For allegedly fraudulently securing loans that he did not repay but adding on to that by falsely claiming to be from Ireland meaning his charges could be…Dublin.
For not realizing that just because you’re from a state that drinks like every night is an open bar at a Galway wedding doesn’t make you Irish.
And for passing himself as being from Ireland when he was really from Wisconsin which should’ve been obvious every time he said, “top of the mornin’ to ya…er no”.
