MANITOWOC, Wis. — A Manitowoc woman accused in a fatal crash reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Monica Walker is convicted in Manitowoc County Court on one count of Homicide by Use of a Vehicle with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration.
Walker was drunk when she crashed off of Interstate 43 in Manitowoc Rapids back in February of 2021. Her granddaughter, 9-year-old Tkyia Brewer, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Walker faces up to 40 years in prison when sentenced on Feb. 6.
