Once again this year, we had the opportunity to jumpstart the fundraising for tonight‘s 24th Annual Costume Party to benefit Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin – Fox Valley. And once again WAPL listeners came through bigger than we ever would’ve imagined! Thanks to all of you who bid or shared our post or told your friends or just sent good vibes for a positive outcome.
Coming in, we thought $10,000 was a somewhat unrealistic goal for the week. Of course, like with so many things, we were wrong. Our grand total for the week of fundraising came to $11,000 with every penny going to Children’s Hospital.
Thanks to the people and organizations that donated the auction items. Bergstrom Motors, Captain John Pollock at Reel Impression Sportfishing Charters out of Sturgeon Bay, the Lodge at Leatham Smith, Amusement Devices, and Chris and Mike Gosz.
And thank you to “the kids thank you” Committee for entrusting us with handling this aspect of the fundraising and for organizing tonight‘s big costume party with Boogie and the Yo-Yo’z and Bad Habitz tonight at the newly remodeled Waverley Beach Bar and Grill in Menasha.
