A Wyoming woman had a way too close (and almost deadly) encounter with a buck that was in her driveway.
Wanda Kaynor, of Evanston, WY, surprised the deer which was sitting in her driveway. One of Kaynor’s dogs leapt to her defense causing the deer to go after the dog. It was then when Kaynor swung her purse at the buck causing it to become aggressive toward her.
The deer wound up goring Kaynor and sending her to the hospital with seven puncture wounds and a crushed vertebra in her back. Her husband (Daniel) also suffered a puncture wound to his side defending his wife from the deer.
A wildlife official from Wyoming Fish and Game confirmed to local media that the buck was euthanized, as is customary after an animal has a violent encounter with humans.
