MADISON, Wis–The fire danger across most of Wisconsin is now “very high”. The D-N-R lists all of the counties in the WHBY listening area in that category this week.
Fire danger is elevated due to warmer than usual temperatures, strong winds and a lack of rain in much of the state. The department reports 127 wildfires last week, which burned about 100-acres.
All outdoor burning is discouraged until brush greens up again or we see more rain.
