APPLETON, Wis. — You’re invited as Lawrence University celebrates the 175th anniversary of its founding.
Established on the banks of the Fox River in 1847, Lawrence University has been a leader in the liberal arts and sciences field and was one of the first co-educational institutions of higher learning in the country.
Events are planned for the weekend of May 13-14th on the Lawrence Campus, highlighted by a Brighter Together Picnic from 11 to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The weekend will also mark the inauguration of Lawrence University’s new president, Laurie A. Carter.
