This guy now at this point has to be the ultimate “Florida man” right? After being arrested for possession of marijuana back in February because he called 911 to ask for a ride, is now up to his old tricks. What makes him so special is in part the tattoo of the state of Florida on his forehead.
According to The Smoking Gun Matthew Leatham was supposed to be headed to work. When Leatham’s mother drove to his home to pick up the 23-year-old for work, she found him “intoxicated and lying down on his bed.” When she tried to wake him, Leatham allegedly told her “I can’t do this anymore, I’m just going to kill you.” Leatham allegedly then threw a large television at his mother, that she was able to avoid. That’s when Leatham grabbed his mother around the neck in a headlock and began to choke her. Luckily, the victim was able to make it to the door, kick it open, and call out for a neighbor to call 911.
Leatham was arrested, again, and is facing charges of domestic battery by strangulation, which is a felony carrying a maximum five-year prison sentence.
