Here’s KISS’ Spinal Tap moment from Saturday night’s gig in Tampa, Florida.
The platform that lowered Gene Simmons/The Demon from the rafters to the stage tilted upon landing preventing Simmons from getting off – and when have we ever said that about (or had it happen to) Gene? Just ask him.
Anyhoo… The rest of the band had to repeat the opening riff to “Detroit Rock City” until he was able to step off and Paul Stanley then started singing.
The good thing is a roadie didn’t have to free Simmons from his platform as was the case in ‘Spinal Tap.’
The end of the “End of the Road Tour” is getting weird. Buckle up KISS Army.
Here is the ‘Spinal Tap’ reference where Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) couldn’t exit his pod.
