2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary heavy metal band Judas Priest. I know, we can’t believe it’s been 50 years already either. The band formed in England in 1971 and rose to the heights of the music world in the early eighties with some of the most popular albums in rock history. The band is now going to celebrate those triumphs with a giant box set that will have all their albums, plus previously unreleased live concerts, and a ton of bonuses.
The set has 18 of the band’s studio albums, all five of their live albums, eight previous unreleased concerts that run from 1979 to 1981, and two discs of various live tracks and rarities from their career. It also comes with Ross Halfin photos signed by all five current band members, a numbered British Steel metal razor blade, and a book featuring rare photos, posters, adverts and passes, plus replicas of two tour posters. The cost? $480. Actually, if you break it down that’s really not bad.
The set is due on October 15th. And just in case you don’t want to buy the entire thing there will be a one CD or two LP set called Reflections due on the same day.
