Where the Westminster Dog Show is concerned, some people just watch because they love dogs, some have a personal interest because of a favorite breed or one they own, others watch to watch for the athleticism of the dogs on the agility course. But some (like myself) watch for those various reasons but also for the non-agility/athleticism of the handlers. And sometimes you get gold from the agility course.
Case in point: Ripple the Boston Terrier and her handler John.
Quick preview: Ripple is athletic. John is not.
And GO!
Ripple’s trainer John stumbled, mid-run, and blocked (almost landed directly ON) Ripple’s path on the agility course at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. This stumble threw Ripple off her game and resulted in a penalty of a back-side obstacle violation. Or whatever they call it.
They finished in a flurry. Ripple was a good girl and tragedy was avoided because ‘Ripple’ didn’t become ‘Pancake’
