PRESS RELEASE (4/21/21)
Leading independent live event promoter and producer Danny Wimmer Presents announced today that the Los Angeles-based company has signed a new, long-term lease with property owners of the former Ford Festival Park site in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The 200-acre piece of land–renamed Ford Park Live–was previously home to longtime festivals Country USA and Rock USA, which were owned and operated by Hypervibe.
DWP has been working closely with the City of Oshkosh, along with Winnebago County and the Town of Nekimi to formalize plans for a fresh venue concept on the property. Beginning this summer, DWP plans to host a few select concerts at Ford Park Live to re-establish the site as a viable outdoor live music destination in eastern Wisconsin. More information on the specific shows will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
In 2022 and beyond, DWP’s vision for Ford Park Live is to create and develop new annual festivals at the site, as well as to attract unique concert experiences that will have wide appeal in the regional marketplace.
“DWP is thrilled to put down roots in Wisconsin with this investment in Ford Park Live. Our plans to create new, exciting events and festivals beginning in 2022 are already underway. In the meantime, we know how hungry the fans are for live music right now, so we’re also going to be announcing some special and safe Summer 2021 concerts in the coming weeks as well,” commented Joe Litvag, DWP’s President Of Live Events.
DWP has built a strong reputation in the live entertainment industry for being one of the most innovative festival creators, developers and producers in the country. With 10 successful annual festivals and counting to their name, DWP is one of the most trusted names in the market. In 2021, the company announced its expansion into several new related lines of business including streaming, national touring, and venue operations and development. Ford Park Live is one of multiple new locations that DWP will begin focusing attention on. More details will be revealed soon about the additional venues.
