Proving necessity is the mother of invention, this guy DIY’s a drum kit to cover one of the gnarliest drum solos in rock history – RUSH’s “Tom Sawyer”.
No need to shell out 1000’s of dollars to get the top-of-the-line equipment when you have access to paint cans, water jugs, pizza tins and frying pan lids.
Music snobs will call this garbage and, technically, they’re right – with the composition of the kit itself. But the dude definitely gets an ‘A’ for effort, engineering and ingenuity.
I’m guessing Neil Peart is smiling down on this.
